Haşim Solmaz | Contamination Control, Cleanrooms & Innovation
Haşim Solmaz is an internationally recognized contamination control professional, engineer and industry leader with more than two decades of experience in cleanroom technologies, environmental monitoring and controlled environments.
He serves as Vice President of Innovation at Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions while also leading the company’s EMEA operations as General Manager. In his innovation role, he works at the intersection of contamination control, advanced monitoring technologies, robotics and automation, real-time microbial monitoring and the development of new technologies and markets for the life sciences and semiconductor industries.
Haşim is the Chair of the International Confederation of Contamination Control Societies (ICCCS), the global organization bringing together national contamination control societies and professionals around the world. His work within ICCCS focuses on strengthening international collaboration, technical knowledge exchange, education and the advancement of contamination control science and practice.
He is actively involved in the development of international cleanroom standards through ISO/TC 209 – Cleanrooms and Associated Controlled Environments, where he serves as Head of the Turkish Delegation. He also chairs Türkiye’s national mirror committee for ISO/TC 209, contributing to the development and implementation of standards that shape cleanroom design, qualification, monitoring and contamination control practices worldwide.
Over the course of his career, Haşim has worked across pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, advanced therapies, healthcare, semiconductor and other high-technology industries. His particular areas of interest include Contamination Control Strategy (CCS), cleanroom monitoring, airborne particle measurement, real-time and rapid monitoring technologies, robotics and automation, data-driven contamination control and the practical application of ISO 14644 standards.
Beyond his corporate and standards responsibilities, he is an active international speaker, educator and technical author. He regularly contributes to conferences, professional training programs and industry publications with a focus on translating contamination control science and emerging technologies into practical solutions for critical environments.
His current work is increasingly focused on the future of contamination control: connecting measurement science, intelligent monitoring, automation, robotics and digital technologies to create cleaner, safer and more efficient controlled environments.
